Joseph and Dad's Birthday

Joseph and Dad's birthday are three days apart. We celebrated at Grandma Vandyke's while we were home. Hard to believe he is 14 now.

Trip home to NC

Here are the boys playing with their cousin Wyatt and Poppie and Patrick relaxing before bedtime.

Patrick sucking on his fingers and Jacob sucking on his toes

That's right, Jacob loves to suck on his toes. Patrick, bless his heart, is just now barely able to touch his so he settles for his fingers.

Just getting bigger and bigger!

The boys are growing more every day. From the first time they drank from their sippy cups to becoming more mobile, I am amazed by how much they have changed in such a short amount of time. They are becoming more aware of each other. They smile and laugh at each other. They also try to grab each other as evident in the picture of Jacob the ninja baby trying to steal his brother's pacifier.

Christmas with Poppie and Mawmaw Leslie

These are a few pictures of us at John and Leslie's for Christmas.

Christmas time

This Christmas was the first one spent away from NC. Although it was very different it was nice to spend some time together just us, not rushing to the next place on our list, and trying to squeeze in as many people as possible. The boys spent their first Christmas opening presents, playing and napping. I spent it cooking...I have a new respect for Grandma VanDyke. Joseph and Victoria played the new games they got and Matt worked half the day.

Her dance recital

Victoria's Christmas Dance

Victoria has started taking dance here and we have had three appearances already! First they were in the Nashville Christmas Parade...at night in 22 degrees! Then they had their recital, and finally they performed at a local nursing home and brought the residents a home made card and ornament. Busy busy busy!

Breakfast with Santa

This was an event we had with POTATO (Parents Of Twins And Triplets Organization) They had Santa and Rudolf there and you were able to take your own pictures. Then we tried to take a group picture....hard to fit when the kids come in two's and three's...Hard to believe that this is just a small portion of the group!

The Grinch on ICE!

We took the kids to How the Grinch Stole Christmas - on ICE at Opryland. It was so neat! Everything was carved out of ice. They gave you these blue ponchos so you wouldn't freeze to death. It was like walking in a meat locker. The kid (Matt included) loved the huge ice slide.

Victoria's Birthday celebration - Part 2

On her birthday we made a cake and opened presents at home. Then we popped popcorn and watched a family movie! The next day, Victoria picked where we were going to eat lunch. She picked out Aquarium Restaurant, which is a very nice place. It has a whole under water theme, complete with a gigantic tank in the middle of the restaurant...big enough that divers have to go in to clean it. It was great and she got a complementary hot fudge sundae to boot!

Victoria's birthday celebrations! - Part 1

When we were home for Thanksgiving, we had a birthday celebration for Victoria. It was nice having most of the family together for her day!

Joseph Wrestling

So Joseph is Wrestling this year. I know, it came as a surprise to us too! I think it has been good for him and he is doing well. It is hard though, trying to figure out how loud I can yell without completely embarassing him since he is now a cool teenager. Also, it is kind of tough seeing your youngin' slung around the mat by some stranger!

Christmas pictures

Here are the Christmas pictures. It took us forever to get all five of them to look in the same direction!
