Mother's day and the boys dedication

The boys did real well at the dedication. Of course we were almost late for it...the trial of getting four children ready and out the door on Sunday morning. The childrens choir sang a song for the mother's, too. Victoria is really enjoying it and her teacher is giving her a song to learn so that she can sing a solo in church. We will see how that goes! The funniest thing is that our church gives out prizes to the mother with the most children (who still live at home) and another mother and I tied for it.

The boy's dedication video

Here is the dedication...Joseph took it so it is a little wobbly. We had them dedicated on Mother's Day at our church, Una Baptist. I made the mistake of grabbing Patrick instead of Jacob and almost broke my back!

Just some pictures of the boys

We had to give the church some pictures of the boys for their dedication. I took these the day they were due (of course). It is so much easier to do with Patrick. He is not the wiggle worm that Jacob is.

Jacob too!

Here are the pictures of Jacob I took for it. The few that he didn't fall over giggling or try to get the dog who wouldn't leave us alone.

mmmmm - Chocolate bunnies!!

Here is the evolution of the boys first chocolate Easter bunny. First, sitting on the blanket, not quite sure why they are only in their diapers. Then the first timid bites of it. Finally, they really dug in and we had to take them away so they wouldn't get sick from too much candy. Bath time was a blast that night!

Easter

Here are the kids at Easter. I had to wrestled the grass away from the boys, and threaten Joseph and Victoria in order to get the one picture of all of them.

Sitting up like a big boy!

Patrick is sitting up on his own now. He can't get there on his own but can balance once you sit him up. Now he thinks he is big stuff. Jacob still needs a lot of support in order to sit up..of course Patrick has a much sturdier base:)

Hanging out with Zachary

Where do I start??? The cutest babies ever!!! From overalls to toboggans these boys look cool. There is also one of the whole gang and Patrick and Jacob in their corduroy jackets, you can't see them in the pic but they even have the suade patches on the elbows.

Joseph and Dad's Birthday

Joseph and Dad's birthday are three days apart. We celebrated at Grandma Vandyke's while we were home. Hard to believe he is 14 now.

Trip home to NC

Here are the boys playing with their cousin Wyatt and Poppie and Patrick relaxing before bedtime.

Patrick sucking on his fingers and Jacob sucking on his toes

That's right, Jacob loves to suck on his toes. Patrick, bless his heart, is just now barely able to touch his so he settles for his fingers.

Just getting bigger and bigger!

The boys are growing more every day. From the first time they drank from their sippy cups to becoming more mobile, I am amazed by how much they have changed in such a short amount of time. They are becoming more aware of each other. They smile and laugh at each other. They also try to grab each other as evident in the picture of Jacob the ninja baby trying to steal his brother's pacifier.

Christmas with Poppie and Mawmaw Leslie

These are a few pictures of us at John and Leslie's for Christmas.

Christmas time

This Christmas was the first one spent away from NC. Although it was very different it was nice to spend some time together just us, not rushing to the next place on our list, and trying to squeeze in as many people as possible. The boys spent their first Christmas opening presents, playing and napping. I spent it cooking...I have a new respect for Grandma VanDyke. Joseph and Victoria played the new games they got and Matt worked half the day.
